Orto Botanico of Naples

On December 3, 2015, target group students from Urbi, Varvakeio and Plinio Seniore visited the orto Botanico di Napoli.The actual surface area of the Botanical Garden of Naples is nearly 12 hectares in which 9,000 species are present and a total of almost 25,000 samples grouped together according to their systematic, ecological and ethnobotanic.

Visiting Boscoreale

December 2, 2015, students taking part in the school exchange and target groups from Plinio Seniore visited the Antiquarium of Boscoreale. Instituted in 1991, the National Antiquarium of Boscoreale documents the life of the ancient inhabitants of the Vesuvius area, with exhibits from the sites of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis, Stabiae, Terzigno and Boscoreale. The visiting itinerary unfolds in two rooms. The first is dedicated to the territory’s physical features, such as the sea, hills, and mountains, and human activities tied to these aspects: hunting, fishing and animal farming, with series of significant objects, such as the interesting remains of foods. The second room presents the principal archaeological finds discovered at the Boscoreale site.

December 2, 2015, students taking part in the school exchange and target groups from Plinio Seniore visited the archaeological site of Pompeii. the guides of the visit placed special emphasis on environmental and botanical concerns related to F.O.R. project.

Working at Plinio Seniore

December 1, 2015, students taking part in the school exchange watched a documentary on the reconstruction of Stabian villas in 3D, made by a teacher of Plinio Seniore.
Then, there was a little debate about the relationship between Classical and digital culture. Later on, students who were in international groups started to work in the twinspace profile, in their experiences with Italian families, and in the dictionary of mythological plants.

Incidence in the return flight to Bilbao

The students and teachers of Urbi high school coped with an incidence in their return flight from Frankfurt to Bilbao.
Due to the dense fog in the airport of Loiu, the plane couldn't land, and they were taken to the airport of Barajas in Madrid, where they arrived at 12.10 p.m.
Lufthansa company hosted students and teachers in Marriott Madrid Auditorium hotel, and the following day, December 6, they were driven to Bilbao by bus.
Finally, they arrived home at 14: 20, tired but very very happy.

On November 26, an article about F.O.R. project has appeared in the local newspaper Geuria. It exposes project`s main objective, partners and school exchanges.

Couples on the Erasmus corner`s board

On November 24, at Urbi high school, we placed the pictures with the couples taking part in the school exchange to Castellammare on the Erasmus corner`s board.
Very soon, next Saturday, they will be together...

Evaluating linguistic competencies through e-ELP

On November 23, target-group students of Urbi high school evaluated their linguistic skills in English, level B2, through e-ELP. They will do the same thing at the end of the current school year in order to assess their improvement.

Parents meeting at Urbi high school

On November 18, parents of FOR target group students met at Urbi high school in order to prepare the first school exchange to Castellammare di Stabia. Parents took advantage of the opportunity to evaluate their intercultural and plurilingual competences through the ELP (European Language Portfolio) at Urbi high school. They will repeat the same evaluation at the end of the current school year, in order to see if there have been any changes related to these competences.

The first preparatory visit at Varvakeio Lyceum

Between 2015 September 30 and October 3, teachers of our three schools met at Varvakeio in order to work towards the implementation of FOR project.
The objctive of this first meeting was to stablish the following concerns: the criteria to organise the working groups, the students working groups, the activities and school exchanges for the school year 2015-2016.
The reception offered by Varvakeion school was very friendly, and the work of the teachers team extremely satisfactory. many thanks to all of you!!!

Presentation of FOR Erasmus + project in LLodio (Araba, Basque Country, Spain)

On September 24, to coincide with the European Day of Languages, FOR Erasmus+ project will be presented together with the project of IES Laudio high school "It`s my life-it`s my choice", in a project dissemination event organised by the City Council of LLodio.
