Concerning the main subject of F.O.R. Project, students and teachers attended the Ikebana workshop and arranged some floral compositions.
Ikebana is a way of arranging flowers that was developed by the Japanese. It was introduced in Japan in the sixth century by Chinese Buddhist missionaries, who had formalized the ritual of offering flowers to Buddha. The art is based on the harmony of simple linear constructions and the appreciation of the subtle beauty of flowers and natural material, such as branches and stems.

Visit to The “Royal Palace at Quisisana”

Today we visit the park belonging to the Royal Palace at Quisisana, the domus of loco sano with a botanist who explained some aspects related to the plants of  FOR project.

The “Royal Palace at Quisisana” is practically unknown even to those who know the area; yet it lays claim to being the first such royal residence in the north of the ancient Kingdom of Naples, older even than the Angevin fortress at the port (from 1300).

For this reason, Italian partners had to wait considerable time until the claim was made. Eventually the re-encounter was great!!!
